Next stop Donington Park for bumper BTCC field!

If you missed the curtain-raising BTCC thrills n' spills at Brands Hatch or were so enthralled you want to see them all over again, then you need to get yourself to Donington Park for seconds-out, round two!
The dust has barely settled upon the curtain-raising skirmishes at Brands Hatch last weekend, and already all eyes are turned towards the second outing of the 2011 Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship (BTCC) at Donington Park later this month.

Following six months' away in relative hibernation, the BTCC burst back into life with a vengeance around Brands' Indy Circuit, with a brace of victories for defending champion Jason Plato – seeing the Silverline Chevrolet star overtake tin-top legend Andy Rouse to become the most successful driver in the series' history – and a final flourish in the last race of the day for the 43-year-old's arch-nemesis Matt Neal.

There were standout performances, too, by Airwaves Racing ace Mat Jackson, Honda's Gordon Shedden from the very back of the grid following a huge practice shunt and young gun and Crash.net columnist James Nash – as the BTCC delivered all of its usual upsets, unpredictability and edge-of-the-seat, doorhandle-to-doorhandle action.

If you missed it – or if you were so enthralled you want to see it all over again – then you need to get yourself to Donington Park over the weekend of 16/17 April for seconds-out, round two! The Leicestershire circuit's sweeping nature and undulating layout is perfectly adapted to the BTCC's fast, frenetic and bumper-to-bumper thrills n' spills – and tickets are sure to be in high demand, so to avoid disappointment, book yours today!

Ticket prices are as follows:

Weekend Adult (includes Saturday and Sunday): £30
Adult Sunday: £25
Sunday Grandstand: £10
Weekend Camping (Friday to Sunday): £15

I love BTCC and find F1 tedious and boring. Each to their own I suppose but I can never understand why people would go to the trouble of seeking out a message board to comment on if they weren't remotely interested in the sport? BTCC has bumper crowds at every race so maybe the fans attend the races rather than talking about them!
