Andrew Jordan says is confident of a strong run in his home round of the Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship this weekend at Donington Park.
Jordan showed impressive speed at the wheel of his Pirtek Racing Vauxhall Vecta at Brands Hatch in the season opener, but punctures in both race one and race three prevented him from fighting for a place on the podium.
However, the 21-year-old heads for Donington in confident mood and having run well at the circuit last season, he will aim to kick-start his championship challenge at the East Midlands venue.
“I think it will be one of our stronger circuits,” he said. “We ran well there last year and the new engine is going really well so I think Donington will be good for us.
“It's good to have the Donington weekend at the start of the season and Donington is very local for the team so it will be good to be racing there. It is a challenging track and it's pretty exciting down the Craner Curves on the early laps when you are just hanging on to the car!”
