Onslow-Cole, AmD in split
AmD Milltek Racing.com has announced that it has come to an amicable agreement to part company with driver Tom Onslow-Cole in order to allow him to take up the offer of a drive elsewhere.

Onslow-Cole joined the team on the eve of the 2011 Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship season and had scored three top ten finishes at the wheel of its VW Golf.

Where the former race winner is heading to has yet to be confirmed, with AmD Milltek now looking for a replacement ahead of the next round of the season at Croft later this month.

“We have enjoyed working with Tom during his short time as part of the AmD Milltek Racing.com team and wish him all the best for his future career,” team principal Shaun Hollamby said. “We were told of Tom's decision 15 minutes before the final race today at Oulton Park and that he would no longer be driving for us.

“AmD Milltek Racing.com is staffed by a strong and talented group of people who will continue working hard to build on the progress we have made this season. As a team, we remain focused on moving the Volkswagen Golf up the BTCC grid and will evaluate replacement drivers to allow us to continue with the progress made so far through the remainder of the season.

“We would like to thank Milltek and Tesco Momentum 99 for all of their support during our exciting campaign so far and look forward to further success on track.”

Little bit confused why Tom would announce that he is not racing 15 minutes prior to start of race 3???? Bit weird that, with sponsorship commitments etc.

I will take over the Golf if they want - getting better all the time...

Where will Tom be headed????

Might he be headed for Plato's seat as all he can do is bash his way up and down the points table , of course it wont be his fault he hit the back of the BMW in front of him in the corner and spun him out in an unfair and unpublishable way just because his team did not give him a turbo,,, sorry rant over
