Ginetta GT Supercup winner Adam Morgan will join Speedworks for his debut in the Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship this season.
Morgan's move into the BTCC is his prize for winning the Ginetta title last season, with Speedworks being chosen as the team to run his NGTC-spec Toyota Avensis.
“I am extremely happy to be racing with Speedworks this year,” he said. “They are a very professional and determined team, and I am sure with pre-season testing that we will be able to hit the ground running.
“Once again I would like to say a massive thank you to Ginetta for this incredible prize and I am looking forward to working with them in 2012.”
Morgan will form part of a two-car Speedworks team alongside Tony Hughes, who made his debut in the series in 2011 having also moved up from Ginetta racing.
“All of us at Speedworks Motorsport are delighted to be continuing our relationship with Ginetta Cars and we are very excited that Adam will be driving for us in 2012,” team boss Christian Dick said.
“As well as being a very likeable young man, he's proven himself to be a very quick, competent driver in just two years of car racing. He has a very bright future and we are proud to be part of that.”
