The BTCC class of 2012

A look at the BTCC class of 2012 from the annual media day
The 2012 Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship season was officially launched yesterday [Monday] at Silverstone, with 24 cars set to line up for the season opener at Brands Hatch later this month.

Works teams from Honda and MG lead the entry – both having built cars to the new NGTC regulations – but face a tough challenge from the likes of Motorbase (Redstone Racing), WSR (eBay Motors) and Pirtek Racing in the race for championship honours.

The day also saw an official test where Dave Newsham topped the times for ES Racing, one of the smallest teams in the paddock.
