Andrew Jordan admits he needs to start winning races when the Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship season resumes this weekend after the summer break.
Jordan sits level on points with Rob Collard in the championship in fifth place and is the best placed driver in the standings yet to win a race thus far in 2012.
The Pirtek Racing man has however shown his pace having qualified in the top four at every meeting so far and he admitted that he now needed to convert some of his consistency into victories when racing resumes.
“We need to start scoring higher,” he said. “It's good to be consistent, but we need to be getting wins and seconds. The pace is there: we've just got to put it all together. The car was already very good now, but there were still a lot of things we wanted to try in the summer break.
“It was good to go into the summer break in good shape and I'm really looking forward to the second half of the season. A lot of the corners at Snetterton should really suit the NGTC cars, so I think we'll be strong from now on in.”
Jordan and the team have tested over the summer break to improve race pace in the new NGTC Honda Civic.
