Four drivers have confirmed that they are to miss the latest rounds of the Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship at Knockhill.

Redstone Racing's Liam Griffin had already revealed that he was to miss the Scottish event due to commitments elsewhere, which means the Motorbase Performance-run team will again field just two cars for the Knockhill weekend.

Griffin will be joined on the sidelines by Rob Austin, Tony Gilham and Ollie Jackson after the Rob Austin Racing, Thorney Motorsport and AmDTuning.com teams announced they too would miss the event.

RAR has elected to miss the event for budgetary reasons, with Thorney sidelined for the same reasons with Gilham not extending his deal beyond the one-off agreement that saw him race the team's Vauxhall Insignia at Snetterton.

Both Austin and Gilham will be present at Knockhill however, with Austin going to the venue to spectate and Gilham overseeing the Team HARD Honda Civic of Robb Holland.

AmDTuning.com meanwhile will miss the event to go testing in an attempt to find more performance from its VW Golf after a tough weekend at Snetterton.

Speedworks driver Tony Hughes is also not competing at Knockhill but will be replaced by Paul O'Neill.
