It proved to be a dramatic season in the British Touring Car Championship and it ended with a new champion being crowned in the shape of Gordon Shedden.
The Honda driver faced a huge battle with team-mate Matt Neal
and MG's Jason Plato
but came out of the season finale at Brands Hatch
having wrapped up the crown for the first time – becoming the first Scottish driver since John Cleland to take the trophy home.
