Volkswagen Passat CC to feature on the BTCC grid in 2013
Team HARD. reveals VW programme
Team HARD. has announced that it is planning to run at least two Volkswagen Passat CCs as part of its 2013 Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship programme.

The team had already acquired the Vauxhall Insignias built by Thorney Motorsport to run next season alongside the S2000-spec Honda Civic it raced this year, but has now revealed it is in the process of building up two VWs built to the BTCC's Next Generation Touring Car regulations.

While the rival AmDTuning.com team has campaigned a VW Golf in recent seasons, the Passat CC will be the first Volkswagen model built to the NGTC rules.

“We already have one driver signed and are also in very advanced discussions with others,” team boss Tony Gilham told BTCC.net. “They will be big, exciting names. We envisage two Insignias and two Passats on the grid for the opening round at Brands Hatch. The plan is to add two more Passats later on in the season and it could be we end up running two teams under different names.

“The Insignias which we acquired just before the end of the 2012 season are also going through a complete redevelopment – people will really see a difference when they re-appear in 2013.

“The team of people we are building behind the scenes will be among the most experienced and highly qualified on grid. There's some more very exciting news to come in the near future. Watch this space, as they say…”

The tail enders won't be round the Real Radio Hairpin at Knockhill at this rate when the race starts with all these Passats on the grid.

The editing to stick on "game changer" and "dunlop" appears to have been done by a 5 year old using MS Paint for the 1st time.
