Team-mate Sam Tordoff meanwhile will seek to maintain a strong start to the campaign that has seen him inside the top ten in every race so far this season.
“There's no reason that we shouldn't be strong at Oulton Park,” he said. “The car was very fast there last season – Jason was on pole position – and there have been a lot of developments to it since then. That bodes well for us.
“I learned a lot personally at the last rounds at Thruxton about tyre management and I feel I have taken another step forward in learning about the championship. It is almost a local track for me and I have done quite a few miles testing around the circuit so there are no excuses. I will be gunning for the podium again. That has to be my target now.”
