Colin Turkington has expressed his delight, following his double podium finish at Oulton Park in the Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship on Sunday.

Turkington, who struggled at Thruxton prior to the spring break, snatched a podium brace after finishing third in race two and second in race three.

The BMW driver was thrilled with the team's performance at the weekend, but still believes there is a lot of work to be done: "It's been a really positive weekend and the car was a massive improvement compared to Thruxton," he said.

"I didn't expect to get two podium finishes after qualifying, as I thought we'd be around the top six, so it's a good way to finish. This is a circuit where the rear-wheel drive cars do go well and the higher temperatures helped us as well.

"We still have time to find in qualifying as we showed with the gap to the pole sitter, so even though we are moving in the right direction, there is still a lot of work for us to do."

Turkington now sits sixth in the drivers' standings, as he hopes to back up his good form at Croft in two weeks' time.
