What is new for Snetterton?

A quick round-up of BTCC headlines ahead of the resumption of racing at Snetterton this weekend
With the BTCC season resuming at Snetterton this weekend, we take a quick look at what has changed over the course of the summer break ahead of the sixth round of the year…

AmD make Honda switch:
The AmDTuning.com team will switch from its VW Golf to a Honda Civic for the remainder of the 2013 season.

The team ran the Honda for the first time during testing at Snetterton last week, with James Kaye aiming to make up ground on Jack Sears Trophy leader Lea Wood when racing resumes this weekend.

The Golf could appear with another driver before the end of the year.

IP Tech to debut:
IP Tech Race Engineering will finally debut its NGTC-spec Chevrolet at Snetterton.

Andy Neate tested the car – entered under the Team Club 44 banner – at Snetterton last week and was also on track this week at Mallory ahead of his first race weekend with the car.

The Cruze will become the latest NGTC car on the grid, with BTC Racing set to enter its own Cruze – albeit a hatchback version – at Rockingham later in the year.

Addison Lee Motorbase back to one:
The Addison Lee Motorbase team is set to be back to a single car for Snetterton after Michael Caine's outing at Croft.

Caine drove the team's NGTC-spec Ford Focus in its first appearance on track, while sportscar ace Nick Tandy then took part in testing at Snetterton.

However, the car isn't expected to race at Snetterton with Liam Griffin back behind the wheel of the team's S2000-spec car having missed Croft.

New look for Onslow-Cole:
Tom Onslow-Cole will field another new livery for Snetterton on his Team HARD.-run Volkswagen Passat.

Onslow-Cole, who has run a range of different liveries already this year, debuted a new black and white livery with support from Bright Star Fireworks at the Snetterton test.

A second Passat will appear at Snetterton being run by BMR Restart.

Meanwhile, Onslow-Cole will be joined at Team HARD. by Robb Holland who replaces James Cole for the Snetterton weekend.

Marshall Amps supports campsite gig:
Marshall Amplification will celebrate its first weekend as a BTCC sponsor by backing a music gig being held in the Snetterton campsite on Saturday night.

The event will see local band 80*2*90 perform a series of classic rock anthems and is open to all those camping at the circuit.

Marshall are one of the sponsors on Andy Neate's Chevrolet.
