Pirtek Racing's Andrew Jordan says he isn't getting carried away with his newly established 30-point lead ahead of this weekend's penultimate BTCC round at Silverstone.

Jordan had entered the Rockingham weekend six-points behind the then championship leader Matt Neal, but the Pirtek man took full advantage of a disastrous day for Yuasa Honda's Neal by winning two of the three races while scoring points with an eighth place finish in the other.

The 24-year old and his Pirtek squad also top both the Independent teams and driver championships while the squad also sits third in the overall teams table.

Despite leading the title charge Jordan admits that Silverstone could be a difficult weekend for himself and the factory Honda's given the extra success ballast which will hamper their straight-line speed on an engine orientated circuit.

"To go into the Rockingham weekend six points behind and go out 30 points ahead: it doesn't get much better than that," said Jordan.

"But Matt Neal had a bad day at Rockingham, and that could be us at Silverstone. There are still six races to go, so I don't want to get too excited.

"Silverstone will be tough for the Hondas, but we're really only racing the other two Hondas at the moment."
