Three racers from the TOCA support package will have the chance to sample BTCC machinery for the first time this week when they take up their prize of a run in the Airwaves Racing Ford Focus.
The top two from the Dunlop MSA Formula Ford Championship of Great Britain – Dan Cammish and Harrison Scott – will be joined by Clio Cup title winner Josh Files for the test at Snetterton, where all three will get the chance to get behind the wheel of the NGTC Focus raced this season by Mat Jackson, Aron Smith and Tom Onslow-Cole.
Onslow-Cole will be present for the test, where each of the three drivers will get approximately 18 laps behind the wheel of the Focus.
The test, backed by Dunlop, is a continuation of its support for young drivers with James Bailey, Director, Marketing and Communications for the brand, saying he was pleased to show his support for young racers.
"Our commitment to the British Touring Car Championship goes far beyond supporting the teams in drivers already in the premier UK series,” he said. “Dunlop has a strong heritage in providing development opportunities for young drivers, with initiatives such as Dunlop Race Academy and Dunlop Star of Tomorrow in our recent history.
“This opportunity rewards talent that has developed in the Dunlop MSA Formula Ford Championship and the Renault Clio UK Cup - where Dunlop is sole tyre supplier. 2013 Champion Andrew Jordan
made his circuit debut in 2005 in the Dunlop Ginetta G20 Series and we hope the 2013 prize test champions can have similar success. "
