Motorbase has confirmed that it will field a three-car team in the Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship next season.

Having sold one of its 2013 cars to, the Wrotham-based outfit is currently working to build up its fourth NGTC-spec Ford Focus STs, which will run alongside its two remaining cars next year.

The team, which ran cars under the Airwaves Racing and Addison Lee Motorbase banners in 2013, has secured three of the new TOCA BTCC Licences for the 2014 season with its drivers still be announced.

"We've been given three TBL's from TOCA and we plan to run three Motorbase built NGTC cars" team boss David Bartrum said. "The new car is currently in build and we are in the process of driver discussions for next season.

"We're recruiting and strengthening our team behind the scenes. 2014 is going to be the biggest year yet for Motorbase, with expanded programmes for the Touring Cars and GT's and we're going to be going all out for the Championship.

"This year was tough, but that's behind us now. We've turned a corner with the Focus, we know where we are with it and we're confident that we'll be back as one of the teams to watch next season."

Mat Jackson, Aron Smith, Tom Onslow-Cole and Michael Caine all raced the NGTC-spec car during the 2013 season.
