Running at team-mate to Jason Plato, Tordoff was impressive from the start as he secured a podium finish in the opening meeting of the year at Brands Hatch - becoming a regular contender for top ten finishes from the outset.

His real strength proved to be qualifying, where he was pretty much a match for anyone on the grid, with his MG starting on the front row at half of the ten events.

Pole position and a maiden win at Snetterton was the undoubted highlight for the 24-year-old, who showed enough to suggest he can be a front-runner in the series for some time to come.

There were times when things didn't always go to plan on race day - and where a lack of experience showed - but Tordoff was easily the most impressive of the rookie class of 2013.

As yet, the former Porsche racer hasn't concluded a deal for 2014 but if he returns with MG for a second season, he'll certainly be one to watch in the fight for honours.
