Exocet to back Rob Austin Racing

Rob Austin Racing to run under the Exocet Racing banner for the 2014 BTCC season
Rob Austin Racing has announced a two-year deal with Fast Exocet that will see the fuel additive company take on title sponsorship of the team's Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship programme.

Having backed the team for the 2013 season finale at Brands Hatch, Exocet will expand its involvement for 2014 and beyond, with one of the team's two Audi A4s running in full Exocet livery.

The second car will also feature Exocet branding.

“Following a successful first season in 2013 as subsidiary sponsors of Rob Austin Racing, we are very pleased to announce that our association will continue over at least the next two seasons,” managing director Neil Ryding said.

“2014 will see a much increased sponsorship deal with the team: one car will be entered under the Exocet Racing banner and carry insignia similar to that shown at Brands Hatch for the last meeting of the 2013 season.

“With very probably the biggest and most loyal fanbase of anyone on the BTCC grid, the huge buzz and excitement around the team generally and, of course, increasingly competitive results on the track, Rob Austin Racing are the ideal choice to achieve our targets.”

Team boss Rob Austin, currently the only driver confirmed with the team so far, said he was pleased with the new deal.

“These are massively exciting times for our team,” he said. “Fast Exocet's input is going to play a vital role in our results in 2014 and I know our brilliant fans will get right behind them as we seek to challenge for podiums and race wins together at every BTCC event in 2014. I also know their product is going to be a big winner with the many millions of touring car fans – I've tried it in my road car a few times now and each time have been blown away by the increase in extra torque!”
