Jack Goff will return to the Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship in 2014 after confirming he has re-signed with the RCIB Insurance Racing team.

The former Renault Clio Cup title winner joined the team last season to race a Vauxhall Insignia and produced a number of encouraging performances despite being forced to help develop the car during the nine race weekends he contested.

The 22-year-old secured a maiden podium finish in the 2013 season finale at Brands Hatch and admitted that that result had helped him in putting together his programme for the year ahead.

"The last race of the season has certainly helped me over the winter," he told the official series website. "I'm lucky in that my sponsors have stuck with me over the last few years - RCIB Insurance, HSL, and all the other guys make this possible, so it's great to be out there fighting for them again.

"It's brilliant to have a second year. We had no testing or development last year, so with every race meeting I was learning the car and the team was learning the set-up, but we had good speed even if we couldn't show it in all the races."

Goff added that changes within the team would also give him a boost in his bid for success in 2014.

"We've brought in some new personnel to the team as well which should really help with the car," he said. "It's going to be tough at the front of the field without a doubt, but there's no reason why we can't be fighting for podiums from the word go, and hopefully snatch that first win when we can."
