Former BTCC title winner Gordon Shedden
is to take on a fresh challenge this weekend when he takes part in the Bathurst 12 Hours for the first time.
The Honda driver will join the Compareinsurance.com.au Motionsport team for the event, where he will partner Pete Storey and Ben Gower at the wheel of the team's Lotus Exige.
Rob Huff will also take part in the race for the Rotek Racing team that will enter the BTCC this season, while United Autosports will run its Audi R8 LMS in the event.
“I'm excited to be joining Compareinsurance.com.au Motionsport for my first visit to Bathurst,” Shedden was quoted by Racing.gt
. “It's an iconic circuit, an iconic race and I think the Lotus Exige will be a strong contender for class honours.”
The Exige came close to taking class honours last year before a late race incident forced the team into retirement.
