Reigning BTCC champion Andrew Jordan says some questions over his Pirtek run Honda Civic remain unanswered ahead of this weekends season opener at Brands.

Jordan topped the only official BTCC pre-season at Donington Park last week but admitted he left the venue frustrated with the lack of meaningful running.

Intermittent rain hit the Donington test, crucially hampering most of the fields running ahead of Brands Hatch.

"It was a little bit frustrating," said Jordan.

"It's always nice to end up quickest, but it wasn't really a proper day because of the weather and we had quite a lot to try out that we haven't been able to do.

"It means that we've still got some unanswered questions going to Brands Hatch, but we know we've just got to get on with it."

Jordan will have to defend his BTCC title with six other former champions on the grid following the return of both Alain Menu and Fabrzio Giovanardi, an exciting prospect for the Pirtek man.

"There's a real buzz about it," said Jordan.

"I'm proud to have the number one on my car and I'm looking forward to the excitement starting at Brands Hatch."
