Thruxton Circuit: Holland to miss Thruxton BTCC weekend

Robb Holland will sit this weekend's Thruxton BTCC round out
Rotek Racing's Robb Holland will miss this weekend's BTCC round at Thruxton as a result of the accident sustained at Donington Park two weeks ago.

Holland's Audi S3 collided with James Coles' United Autosports Toyota Avensis as the pair tried to avoid the chaos in front of them.

The damage to Holland's S3 Saloon was worse than first thought and subsequently his Rotek squad failed to repair the car in time for Thruxton.

Their S3 was the first of it's like to be unveiled this season and, as a result, the timing of parts was critical for the team.

United Autosports however have managed to provide Cole with an Avensis this weekend after preparing a new shell for the Toyota man.

Championship organiser TOCA has confirmed that Rotek Racing are not under any threat of a penalty despite their absence.

Rotek, as a TOCA BTCC License (TBL) holder, are obligated to attend every round of the season but TOCA has confirmed 'force majeure' in this situation.
