Jason Plato says he has not given up on his hopes of winning the 2014 Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship title in 2014, despite having won just a single race this season.

The MG KX Momentum Racing driver resumes his BTCC campaign at Snetterton this weekend following the summer break with five rounds to turn around a 49 point deficit to current leader Colin Turkington in the West Surrey Racing eBay BMW.

Despite the gap to the leaders, Plato - who scored his only win of the year so far at Donington Park - remains confident he can work his way back into contention

"This championship is nowhere near over yet, we've got plenty of races left to play with. While Colin is a bit up the road, all it takes is one bad weekend, and he hasn't had one yet, and it can all turn on a sixpence. "
