Knockhill Racing Circuit: Turkington leads another BMW one-two

BMW's Colin Turkington has gone fastest for the second time today while Nick Foster makes it a WSR one-two at Knockhill.
BMW's Colin Turkington has topped a rain-soaked second and final Knockhill free-practice session as Nick Foster joins the series leader in the top-two to make it another WSR one-two.

With the session having already started under wet conditions, Honda's Gordon Shedden initially sat at the top of the timesheets before, inevitably, letting slip of the top spot as the BMW's began to find their stride.

Turkington was again the main man after setting a 56.484 second lap but this time it was Foster carried the WSR flag in second to trail his championship leading team mate by just 22-hundredths of a second.

Next up was the two MG's in third and fourth with Sam Tordoff turning the tables to pip his elder team mate Jason Plato who ended fourth.

In keeping with a BMW and MG opening two-row lockout, Honda's Civic Tourer's claimed positions five and six with Gordon Shedden heading Matt Neal.

Neal's running was cut short after the triple-champion triggered a late red-flag following a brief excursion into the gravel.

As was the case in FP1, Rob Austin was the only Audi in the top ten in seventh while Andrew Jordan followed Exocet A4 in eighth.

Fabrizio Giovanardi was ninth for Airwaves Ford ahead of Rob Collard in tenth, who yet again make it three eBay 1-Series machines within the top ten.
