BMW's Colin Turkington and MG's Jason Plato have remained nose-to-tail in FP2 after the BTCC title battling duo produced a mirror image of the mornings first session at Brands Hatch.

The session did start on slick tyres as the track continued to dry from a rain hit morning but the heavens opened during the final quarter of the running.

At that time Turkington had already produced a series of searing laps which once again sealed his place at the top of the timesheets as the 32-year old was only driver to break under the 1 minute 32 barrier.

Gordon Shedden and Andrew Jordan swapped positions from FP1 but maintained Honda's better showing of form around the Brands Hatch GP circuit. Shedden trailed Turkington however by almost a full second despite sitting fourth.

Next up was Jack Goff and Adam Morgan in sixth and seventh ahead of the BMR Volkswagen duo of Aron Smith and Alain Menu who finished eighth and ninth.

The top ten's last man was Matt Neal who was just one-thousandth of a second behind Menu's Chrome Edition Restart Racing Volkswagen CC machine.
