Aiden Moffat is set to return to the Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship in 2015 driving a Mercedes A-Class being built by Ciceley Racing.

The 18-year-old, who became the youngest driver to start a BTCC race when he made a handful of appearances in 2013, embarked on a full season in 2014 at the wheel of a Chevrolet Cruze under the Laser Tools Racing banner, scoring his only points of the year in the Brands Hatch finale.

For 2015, however, Moffat looks set to progress to the Mercedes A-Class silhouette, successfully developed and campaigned to race-winning success in 2014 by Ciceley Racing, better known as WIX Racing.

Writing on the WIX Racing website, driver Adam Morgan says the team is currently in the process of building the Mercedes for Moffat, adding that it may also build another A-Class for itself to expand to a two-car entry.

"We have been looking after Aiden Moffat and are building him a Mercedes A Class to compete in next year. Whether we run a second car is still to be decided, it depends on us being able to secure a licence and available drivers."

Spurred on by his win at Brands Hatch finale, Morgan finished tenth overall in his first season with the Mercedes machine. Moffat finished his maiden BTCC season in 25th.
