Voted tenth by you alongside finishing seventh in the overall BTCC standings for the manufacturer-supported MG KX Clubcard Fuel Save team means 2014 can be regarded as a moderate success for Sam Tordoff in his second full season in the championship.

Filling his trophy cabinet with six more podiums over the course of the season driving the MG 6 GT, including a faultless victory ahead of Jason Plato amid the greasy conditions at Donington Park, and claiming two pole positions, Tordoff firmed his status as one of the BTCC's front runners amidst considerably more experienced opposition.

However, Tordoff's hopes of finishing higher in the standings was hampered by a mid-season lull that saw 16 races pass between podiums, while the final classification represented a slight step back from when he finished sixth overall in 2013.

Nonetheless, Tordoff's efforts were instrumental in helping MG claim the much coveted manufacturers' crown over Honda, while he caught the eye enough of the time to secure a move to the title-winning West Surrey Racing squad for 2015, where he will drive the rear-wheel drive BMW 125i M Sport.
