Infiniti Support Our Paras Racing has unveiled a striking colour scheme for its Q50 British Touring Car Championship challenger.

After releasing a teaser of paint scheme the not-for-profit race team revealed the finished article earlier this morning at the Autosport International Show in Birmingham.

In addition to the unveiling, the Infiniti factory backed squad announced the first two injured ex-Paratroopers have joined the Mallory Park based team in employment with a further four set to be recruited in the coming weeks.

The injured ex-Paratroopers will prepare and run the two Infiniti Q50's in the BTCC, which will be driven by Derek Palmer Jr and Richard Hawkens.

Team principal Derek Palmer Snr says employing injured ex-Paratroopers to maintain the cars was always one of the main motives as the project aims to raise awareness for the Support Our Paras charity.

"We've said all along that one of our primary priorities is to employ injured ex-Paras in our team to prepare and run the two race cars," said Palmer Snr.

"We've now embarked on the first phase of achieving that. All the ex-Paras who will eventually be employed by the team have been undergoing intensive training by myself and crew chief Les White.

"As you'd expect, all the guys are quick learners and have impressed right through the training period. Now Darren and John are employed full-time on the team, and they'll be followed in the next few weeks by the rest of the injured ex-Paras."
