Power Maxed Racing has expanded its team ahead of the British Touring Car Championship, entering two Chevrolet Cruze saloon cars for the 2015 campaign.

The Warwickshire-based team has already announced former BTCC race-winner Dave Newsham in its first car for the new season and are in the process of lining up a second driver.

The submission was made on the deadline day for formal car entries (27th February) and the request has been ratified by BTCC series director Alan Gow. The team acquired its second TOCA BTCC licence from United Autosports.

"The second car was always part of the master plan but we wanted to keep it quiet until everything was in place," team principal Adam Weaver explained. "We've been non-stop since the end of last season to bring it all together but it's a great feeling to see it work out.

"We are delighted to be able to grow the team with a view to challenging for podiums in 2015, Signing the 2014 Jack Sears Trophy winner and BTCC race winner Dave Newsham was the first step of many and the expertise of our new Team Manager Martin Broadhurst are set to put Power Maxed Racing firmly on the map this year."

The team are busy preparing for the season launch on 24th March as well as a series of pre-season tests ahead of the opening round between 4-5 April at Brands Hatch.
