Honda's Matt Neal will not lose his race three victory from Donington Park following MG's appeal against the decision being rejected by race officials.

Neal - although having received a verbal warning after event - was cleared of any wrongdoing in regards to the race three incident, which occurred between himself and Andrew Jordan on the sixth lap of the race when disputing the whereabouts of third position.

The Civic Type-R gained the initiative ahead of Jordan after making contact with the MG on the entry into McLeans corner before the pair went on to finish first and second in the race.

Triple Eight argued that Neal gained an unfair advantage when completing the pass but the race officials upheld their decision from three-weekends ago, meaning no further action will be taken over situation.

That means Neal keeps his lead at the top of the championship standings ahead of Team BMR's Colin Turkington in second.
