West Surrey Racing boss Dick Bennetts says everything is now beginning to fall into place for the BMW squad following the team's first ever 1-2-3 result at Croft.

The defending 2014 team champion's historic 1-2-3 result came courtesy of Andy Priaulx's first BTCC victory since returning to the series in 2015 while race one pole man Sam Tordoff and Rob Collard locked out the remaining podium places.

All three of the BMW 1 Series machines have been the class of the field throughout the weekend but team boss but Bennetts admitted events from Oulton Park - where Priaulx and Collard unceremoniously collided - still lingered in the back of his mind.

"First time yeah. We were a bit nervous last night and had a debrief on rules because of what happened at Oulton Park," said Bennetts. "They all behaved themselves and I said 'we can finish 1-2-3 here if you all behave' and that's exactly what happened.

"1-2 is great is but a 1-2-3 is even better! Particularly for Andy [Priaulx] to get the monkey off his back, that will do him the world of good.

"Also for Sam coming off the back from his win at Oulton Park and pole position here along with fastest lap, so he starts on pole for race two - Andy and Rob [Collard] are also second and sixth."

WSR had endured an off colour start to 2015 after losing their title sponsor eBay during what was a turbulent winter for legendary touring car outfit.

Changes to the regulations for this season have also seemingly hurt the BMW's following what was such a dominant 2014 for Colin Turkington.

Indeed, Bennetts now believes his squad are now finally starting to move in the right direction as new signings Priaulx and Tordoff continue to gel with the BMW.

"With losing eBay we couldn't afford to keep Colin [Turkington] so then Andy came in with IHG, which was great, but he didn't have the experience [with the car]," Bennetts continued.

"We know Rob is a fantastic racer and Sam is also a very good driver but he had been FWD. So it was quite a difficult start to the year listening to all the feedback.

"We've got different geometry on the car now from testing and we've got that working well now, it's all finally falling into place."
