West Surrey Racing's Andy Priaulx has opened up his Snetterton British Touring Car Championship weekend by setting the quickest time during FP1 ahead of Team BMR's Jason Plato.

The BMW driver's time came right at the depth of the session after having kept his powder dry for the majority of the 40-minute running.

Priaulx's 1 minute 56.648 dethroned Plato's Volkswagen CC by just over half-a-tenth during his final flyer of the session.
