Honda's Gordon Shedden will go into qualifying for round 19 of the British Touring Car Championship with his tail in the air after once again setting the quickest lap during FP2 at Knockhill.

The home favourite denied Eurotech's Jeff Smith in taking the headline time after a brace of quick laps towards the end of the session moved Shedden beneath the 52 second barrier with a 51.898 second effort.

It was still another Honda 1-2 but the second factory Civic Type-R of Matt Neal fell down the order to twelfth.
