Honda's Gordon Shedden will not start from his third position qualifying slot for tomorrow's opening British Touring Car Championship race at Rockingham after being handed a four-place penalty by the Clerk of the Course.

Shedden was adjudged to have committed a 'procedural infringement' during qualifying where the Team Dynamics driver left the pit-lane out of the predetermined order.

As a result, Shedden drops to seventh on grid, promoting Jack Goff Tom Ingram, Jason Plato and Matt Neal all a position up the grid order in third, fourth, fifth and sixth.
