Newly formed team Maximum Motorsport will compete in the 2016 Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship, with owner-driver Stewart Lines at the wheel.
Lines made his BTCC debut in 2015 driving the Houseman Racing Toyota Avensis, but will bring his own Maximum Motorsport outfit into the series for 2016 after purchasing a Ford Focus ST and TOCA BTCC Licence from AmDTuning.com.
“It was the right time for Maximum Motorsport to be in charge of its own destiny. I run other businesses and this new enterprise is a great new opportunity to be active in something we love doing.
“We will try our hardest to be the most competitive we possibly can be for 2016. This is the hardest race series in the UK. It's a challenge, but a very exciting one.”
Maximum Motorsport's purchase of the Ford Focus from AmDTuning.com means it is left with a single entry, the Audi S3 driven on occasion by Nicholas Hamilton, brother of three-time F1 world champion Lewis Hamilton.
