BTCC: Honda officially unveil Halfords livery

Team Dynamics officially pull the wraps off of the Honda Civic Type-R's striking new livery under the slightly revised name of Halfords Yuasa Racing.
Defending British Touring Car Champion's Honda have officially pulled the wraps off of their strikingly liveried trio of Civic Type-R's under the slightly revised identity of Halfords Yuasa Racing.

Along with the rest of the 32-car field, reigning champion Gordon Shedden, Matt Neal and Andy Neate - under the backdrop of an evocative video presentation highlighting previous glory - unveiled the team's return to the fluorescent orange and black colours of Halfords.

Neal's championship winning Integra was also rolled out, harking back to multi-title winning squad's previous success with it's returning title sponsor.

Shedden made a note of pointing out that it's not just the exterior in which has undergone a raft of changes for the 2016.

"At Honda, we've never been shy of pushing the boundaries and coming up with something different. We won the first championship of the NGTC era, we introduced the Tourer in 2014 and also the Type-R last year," said Shedden.

"We introduced the Type-R last season and it didn't even exist in the showroom until June. Now we're starting the season with lots of new technology, a new engine and a new set of control parts.

"It looks very different from the outside and it's very different under the skin as well. It feels very exciting."

Testing is now firmly underway, with Shedden, Neal and Neate currently sitting 9th, 15th and 21st.
