Fresh off the back from Silverline Subaru BMR Racing's Oulton Park breakthrough, double British Touring Car champion Jason Plato eyes the possibility of further success this weekend at Croft.

Having finally unlocked enough of the Levorg's potential to challenge at the sharp end, Plato's BMR team mate Colin Turkington took Subaru to an historic first win in the BTCC while the 94-time winner took home three podium finishes last time out at the Cheshire circuit.

Knowing how the Croft layout usually tends to favour the RWD contingent, Plato is looking forward to the prospect of utilising the strong suits of the Levorg despite the removal of the soft tyre for this event and Rockingham.

"I think we'll be very strong at Croft," Plato told Crash.net "It's traditionally a RWD circuit. We need to think about traction a little bit but I think we'll be up the sharp end.

"Of course I would have preferred the soft tyre to have remained for Croft but I think we've proved we can run on any tyre. Our degradation is less than everyone else's and Croft is an understeer limited circuit if you're in a FWD car.

"I know that because I've been in them for many years. I'm looking forward to arriving at Tower corner and having mild understeer in comparison to what the FWD cars will have to deal with. I can't wait."
