Croft: Lloyd beats Ingram by 0.009s in final Croft practice

Eurotech Racing's rookie sensation Daniel Lloyd continues to make a name for himself after topping the timesheets for the first time his BTCC career at Croft.
Eurotech Racing's Daniel Lloyd has maintained his impressive start to his British Touring Car Championship career after ending the practice running quickest of all prior to qualifying at Croft.

In just the Honda Civic Type-R driver's third BTCC meeting, Lloyd topped the practice timesheets for the first time in his touring career after making a late surge at the expense of Speedworks Motorsport's Tom Ingram.

The Toyota Avensis of Ingram had already set a pretty ominous gauntlet, which propelled the Speedworks driver over 0.3s clear of West Surrey Racing's Sam Tordoff.

But Lloyd had an answer of his own and sent his Eurotech Type-R to the top by just 0.009s.

Despite his relative inexperience in the series to the series, Lloyd has already started on the front row after qualifying second last time out at Oulton Park.

Behind the top-two, Motorbase Performance's Andrew Jordan was another to make a vast improvement late in the session and went third, a further 0.004s back from Ingram in second.

WSR's Tordoff eventually fell to fourth while Silverline Subaru BMR Racing boss Warren Scott emerged as the fastest Levorg ahead of Jason Plato and Colin Turkington in sixth and seventh.

Handy Motorsport's Rob Austin was eighth aboard his Toyota Avensis as Hunter Abbott and BMW's Jack Goff completed the remainder of the top-ten.
