Senna Proctor has completed the 2018 British Touring Car Championship driver line-up at Power Maxed Racing.

Proctor clinched the Jack Sears Trophy in his rookie BTCC campaign last year and will remain at the Power Maxed Racing squad for the upcoming campaign alongside Josh Cook. With a year of experience to lean upon, including four top 10 results in 2017, Proctor is eager to climb up the BTCC grid after finishing 19th in the overall drivers’ championship in his maiden year.

“It’s great to be staying with Power Maxed Racing for the forthcoming season,” Proctor said. “We’ve been working hard together through the winter to strike the right deal, and you can’t put a price on having confidence in both the car and the team behind it.

“Last year was a fantastic year for all of us, and with the work Martin Broadhurst and the team have been putting in, as well as having Josh Cook as a team mate, I’m confident 2018 will be our year.”

Power Maxed Racing team principal Adam Weaver has echoed Proctor’s sentiments and with two Jack Sears Trophy winners at his squad – Cook won the title in 2015 – he is determined to see the squad secured further silverware in 2018.

“We are well aware of Senna’s ability,” Weaver said.“He is still only 19 and developed superbly as a driver during last season.

“With a year in the car under his belt and a winter of hard work we expect him to be very strong in 2018. I believe we have secured the most exciting lineup in the championship with two of the past three Jack Sears Trophy winners and cannot wait for the season to start.”
