BTC Racing, Team Forward and NJL Racing have all hit the track for the first time in the Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship, with the morning practice sessions having now taken place for the penultimate round of the 2006 season at Brands Hatch.

Chris Stockton in the BTC Lexus IS200 was the quickest of the newcomers in both sessions with the ex-SpeedEquipe car, now resplendent in new red livery. Stockton was 17th in the first session and 18th in the second session with a best time of 51.116secs. Darren Dowling in the sister car was 24th and 22nd – his best time a 52.319secs in the second session.

Nick Leason posted his best time in session two in the NJL Racing with Daniels Vauxhall Astra, with a time of 51.619secs, while Mark Jones in the Team Forward Lexus posted a best time of 52.285secs – also in the second session.

The three teams can now look forward to qualifying for the first time in the series later this afternoon.
