Dan Eaves started from pole position and led Team Halfords team-mate Matt Neal
across the line in a precision team finish at Croft in the final race of the day in the Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship.
It was a race just like the other three for the man at the front as Eaves had an untroubled race to the chequered flag, whilst everyone else had plenty of action to keep themselves busy.
Matt Neal, starting from fifth on the grid worked his way with both precision and force through to second and closed right in to team-mate Eaves as the Integras crossed the line with just 0.065secs between them.
If Neal had his work cut out moving through the field on this difficult to pass track, then Jason Plato
for the final podium spot worked his way magically forwards from thirteenth on the grid after his race two dramas. With team-mate Pickford coming fourth, and Luke Hines keeping Yvan Muller and Colin Turkington
at bay it was a good race in the manufacturers title bid from the Spanish marque, whilst Vauxhall also had Gavin Smith fail to finish the race.
Of the Vauxhalls that did finish, Colin Turkington
took position from team-mate Muller on the final lap, whilst Fiona Leggate scored a top ten finish on her BTCC debut with the Bio-ethanol powered Techspeed Astra.
The HPI Racing Friends Reunited team very nearly saw both cars finish all three races until it all went wrong in race three when first Richie Williams and then Ian Curley retired. Results
