Jones and Neal then started to dice over sixth place and when Jones ran wide through Knickerbrook on lap 13th, Neal took the chance to move ahead although it wouldn't last for long as Jones reclaimed the position the following lap.
Out front however, Turkington wasn't to be denied as he secured the win ahead of Giovanardi and Onslow-Cole, while Kane took a fine fourth to continue the form he displayed last time out at Snetterton. Jackson and Jones took fifth and sixth, while the points scorers were completed by Neal, Shedden, Andy Jordan and Jelley.
Chilton took the flag in eleventh place, comfortably ahead of Harry Vaulkhard, while Martyn Bell dived past Chris Stockton at Lodge on the final lap to take 13th. Jason Hughes finished a lap down after pitting early on in 15th.
Andy Jordan will start race three from pole thanks to the reverse grid draw.
