Mat Jackson took victory in the opening Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship race in terrible conditions at Thruxton.

Jackson stormed to the front off the start and pilled out at handy lead over the chasing pack behind, although it looked like his advantage had been removed when team-mate Liam Griffin went off at Allard to bring out the Safety Car.

However, when the recovery vehicle moving Griffin's Redstone Racing Ford Focus got stuck on the wet grass, the race was red-flagged, handing Jackson his second victory of the season.
