Gordon Shedden took victory in the second Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship race of the weekend as rain arrived at Rockingham.
Shedden ran second early on before taking the lead from Andrew Jordan when he slid at turn two while leading after an early safety car to recover Andy Neate's MG from the gravel at Tarzan.
Shedden briefly allowed team-mate Matt Neal to lead for a lap before reclaiming top spot and securing the win – with Neal's bonus point keeping him a point ahead in the title race.
Behind them, Jason Plato was third for MG with Mat Jackson again fourth. Frank Wrathall produced a strong drive in his Toyota for fifth from Aron Smith and a recovering Jordan, who was forced to complete the race without windscreen wipers despite the horrendous conditions.
Ollie Jackson was a fine eighth from the back of the grid in the AmDTuning.com VW, with Adam Morgan and Nick Foster rounding out the top ten – the latter being top BMW on a difficult race for his eBay Motors squad.
Alongside Neate, Will Bratt retired after sliding off at Deene towards the end.
