Gordon Shedden has moved into the Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship points lead after victory in the final race of the weekend at Rockingham.
Shedden worked his way forwards through the field from ninth on the grid and secured victory after battling ahead of team-mate Matt Neal, who followed him home for a second Honda 1-2 finish of the weekend.
Third went to Jason Plato
who went side-by-side with Neal round the turn one oval at one point but wasn't able to make a move for position stick. Andrew Jordan
was fourth for Pirtek Racing while Aron Smith was fifth in his Redstone Racing Ford Focus having led the race early on before dropping back as his tyres started to wear.
His team-mate Mat Jackson
recovered to sixth after running off track on lap one while Tom Onslow-Cole
came from the back of the grid after a spin on the opening lap to cross the line in seventh. Ollie Jackson, Nick Foster and Rob Austin rounded out the top ten.
The Safety Car had to be deployed early on after a heavy accident for Jeff Smith in his Pirtek Racing Honda, although he was able to escape unscathed from his heavily damaged car after spinning into the wall at turn one.
Dave Newsham was sidelined with mechanical issues while Chris James was forced to call it a day when he was black-flagged due to the fact his lights weren't working in the wet conditions.
