Turkington takes red-flagged win.

After a fine start from pole VX Racing's Colin Turkington was unchallenged as he took his first race win of 2005 in the Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship after the race was red-flagged following a tyre barrier damaging off by Mark Proctor.

Proctor went straight on when he should have turned at the Jim Clarke Esses and locked-up across the grass, unable to shed much speed before hitting the tyre barriers with some force in his Fast-tec ex-Rob Collard Astra.

After a number of laps behind the safety car, the red flags were out signifiying the end of the race and the first win for 2005 for Turkington.
