Round 21: Neal extends lead.

After the drama of race two, it was a much more subdued final race of the day for the Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship as Matt Neal claimed victory in race three at Snetterton.

At the start, Tom Chilton made a stunning get-away off the line to jump between Neal and polesitter Gareth Howell off the line and led the early laps, before Neal managed to get back ahead of the Astra on lap three and led for the remainder of the race to take a victory that extends his lead out to 27 points.

James Thompson came through to claim his third second place finish of the day for SEAT, with Chilton eventually settling for third after a fine drive in the Vauxhall. Colin Turkington finished fourth after working his way up the field with Gordon Shedden and Jason Plato completing the top six.

Gavin Smith took seventh after coming from the rear of the field ahead of James Kaye, while Mark Proctor celebrated what looks set to be his final race in the series with ninth from Eoin Murray.

Howell failed to finish after technical problems on his Honda Integra, while Rob Collard was forced out following contact with Shedden in the early stages.
