Wrong sunshine! - Nick brings considerable funding to the Ebay BMW team as does Rob Collard. He also like Rob has a full time job running a company to deal with as well. There are very few drivers in the BTCC who are in the position to get a funded drive nowadays unlike Super Touring and Factory Teams of the 90's,- thats the reality!
Tom OC cannot justify finding that kind of budget but has proved that the Passat is a front runner and Tony Gilham needs pay drivers to keep Team HARD on the straight and narrow for the rest of the season and to plan for next year. All these drivers both young and old are competitive at this level, but the bottom line is that you need to find £350,000 + to run each car for a season, a large proportion of which goes in to testing and development!!
