Jason Plato fastest in FP1 at Silverstone
Jason Plato heads the first BTCC free practice session on a damp circuit at Silverstone ahead of Mat Jackson's Ford and the Toyota of Frank Wrathall.

In total, 24 drivers are entered this weekend, including Chris Stockton who goes 20th quickest ahead of his return for the first time since 2008.

Both Will Bratt and Chris James are black-flagged for exceeding track limits.

i know its only practice but this is getting beyond a joke. top three got a boost reduction and yet Plato still manages to top the times FP1 and gets 2nd in FP2? Hmmmm and dont say its because of his skill full driving cuz half the track is straights. the facts are MG still are quick despite so called having the reduction and weres Honda? no were to be seen...not evn in the top10
