F1 » Grosjean set to be confirmed by Lotus

After his stunning performance in Suzuka this weekend, it appears that confirmation that Romain Grosjean will stay at Lotus for 2014 is just a formality.

I said to my mate in 2009 after his brief stint that I thought he was the business - I believe I even said that I thought he would be world champ one day.

Glad Romain is proving me right! Last year was a bit scary but he's certainly coming into his own.

Would love to see him get his maiden win this year!

RG and NH make for an exciting young driver line up...granted they're both 25-26, they're still young in terms of F1 years. I really hope that Lotus can deliver a great car next year since losing James Allison. I'd love to see the both of them mixing it up at the front, where they both deserve to be.

I am remembering how Boullier hired him last year. He said that at the second part of 2011 when V.Petrov and B.Senna were having touch times with the Renault R31, never getting in Q3, they looked pretty much relaxed. They thought that their sponsorship would enable them to keep their seats. But that's not the way that Lotus works, we need a driver which does everything to improve his performance and push the team to improve as well-said Bouiller. He continued saying that Romain had his chance back in 2009 but didn't deserved a seat with them in 2010. But he put his head down and worked very hard and managed to win the 2011 GP2 series, so he gained another chance with the team.
Boullier is a great man, that's the kind of men F1 needes. So hat off to him and to Grosjean for the great joob he is doing at the moment.

Good luck Romain. You desrve your place in F1 much more than some others who are rated.
It looks like you may have Massa as team mate, and be fighting Alonso in a McLaren too, which will be interesting and wake Button up!!
