Erm he wasn't impressive at all in the race and his fastest lap wasn't anywhere near Kimi's... Basically every race he goes backwards and he is only good in qualifying.

If Kimi would stop being so crap in quali then people would still be saying Grosjean sucks.

'Wasn't impressive at all'? Guess you missed the first half of the GP? If he sucks then Lotus are obviously enjoying it.. Interestingly Vettels fastest lap was no-where near Webbers!

@titfortat - Fastest lap only counts during qualifying. This is F1, not Indy. There is little point in setting the fastest single lap once the green flag drops. Grosjean was the only driver on the grid to take the fight to Webber and Vettel. The top three cars were in a race of their own.

Tit, Stop talking garbage!

In 15 races GroJo's gone backward 4 times, retired 4 times, gone forward 6 times and stayed the same once. I can think of a former WDC who would love to have gone backwards only 4 times this season.

Just to give you a clue the former WDC has gone backwards 10 times this season and wears silly earrings....

Taipan, Lewis goes backwards because his car is good only for qualifying. On race pace, Mercedes is an average car, behind Lotus, Ferrari and far behind to Red Bull. It reminds me the Jordan of 2000 and 2001 and especially the Williams of 2002 in the hands of Montoya. That year Monty got 7 poles but no race victory. This year, only the tight circuits of Monaco and Hungary did save the Mercedes drivers from Vettel's assaults.

"Lewis goes backwards because his car is good only for qualifying. On race pace, Mercedes is an average car"

I'm sorry, but isn't one of the Hamilton supporters favourite things to tell us is that Hamilton can win even in a BAD car???

Now you're telling us that not only can he not win, but he can't go forward or even hold position, but go backwards in an AVERAGE car???

Really??? Really???

These sort of comments just make me laugh every time Hamilton supporters slate Button for only being able to win in a 'good' car!

The last time Hamilton drove a 'bad' car was the first half of 2009. How did that go for him before they rebuilt it and turned it into one of the fastest on the grid??

Let me remind you...

2009 Round 6 - 12th
2009 Round 7 - 13th
2009 Round 8 - 16th
2009 Round 9 - 18th

This is the type of stuff that just gets me #####. Lewis backwards and one hit wonder. So you rate Kimi higher than Hamilton I take it. Please compare the stats of the two and tell me who of them is more successful please.

Just because the character of Lewis is so bad now it affects the judgement of him. Lets respect Grosjean and the job he is doing because results and how you get there is all that count. If I have to go to if's and but's, than Lewis would have been the WDC leader by far. Yes they struggled with tyres. Merc always did. Now they put a driver in there that is hard on tyres. You will see some backwardness. Bad luck came their way as well. That's why he is a head of Nico in the standings. Nico is matching and in many cases faster than Hamilton.

It is just like the Grosjean Kimi case, Just give credit where credit is due.
